Kids' trees

Okay, I have to show pictures of Sarah and J.T.'s Christmas trees. I failed to do that earlier, and Sarah wanted to know why I didn't have pictures of their trees. They are pretty cute. J.T. is especially proud of his "choo-choo Thomas" ornaments. Sarah's tree is decorated in all Barbie ornaments--go figure!

Sunday school Christmas party

Today the kids had their Christmas parties in Sunday school. Once again, I was reminded of how fast time flies. My babies are getting so big! All the kids are so precious. How thankful I am for my blessings.

Christmas, something to celebrate!

Here are some pics of Sarah's Christmas party/last day before Christmas break at school. Enjoy!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!!

I love Christmas! I love the lights, decorations, food, presents, joyful mood, and of course the reason why we celebrate Christmas. Chris likes Christmas. His family has never been as gung-ho as mine in decorating (it is an art form the way we put lights on a tree) or entertaining for Christmas. However, thanks to my blogging buddies and your stories, he felt somewhat chastised for his lack of enthusiasm when it came to the "man job" of decorating outside. So, thanks to you friends I now have icicle lights on my back porch! This may not sound like a huge deal to anyone else, but trust me, it's the first time in nine Christmases that this much work was done on his part. Oh wait! Did you hear that? That was the hallelujah chorus singing in the background just then! Ha ha ha! Hope you all have a Very Merry Christmas!

Giving thanks

Well, Thanksgiving is over, but I am still thanking God for all my blessings and would like to share them with you. I'm thankful for my salvation, and for my Saviour who has always been with me. I'm thankful for my husband who is also my best friend. I'm thankful the Lord blessed us with two precious children, and good friends and family to help us raise them. I'm thankful for my parents and brother and new sister-in-law. I'm thankful for my church and our pastor. Finally, I'm thankful for our home and the community that we live in. It brings so much peace and joy into my heart to know I'm raising my kids among God's people. May you all have a wonderful holiday season this year!

Prissy Tomboy

All of you that know Sarah knows she loves pink, pink, and more pink! Any thing that sparkles she adores, and the fancier something is the better. Did you also know Sarah loves lizzards, snakes, and anything creepy crawly?! I cannot believe I gave birth to a girl child that loves all things gross and slimey/scaley, but there it is that's our little prissy tomboy!

Sid the Sloth

Here is a picture of J.T. impersonating Sid the sloth from the movie, Ice Age. He is the biggest ham, and loves to quote lines from his favorite movies: Ice Age, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, etc.

Partners in Crime

I am sooo thankful that the Lord blessed us with two healthy children. I am also thankful that our kids are close and, generally speaking, play well together. But...what one doesn't think of the other one does! Let's just say they keep Chris and I on our toes. It's hard to remember what life was like before kids, you know?

Wild Man

J.T. is a typical little boy. Sweet as pie when he wants something, and as ornery as they come when things aren't to his liking. All in all, though, he is my little sugar lump. How can you resist a man with those big blue eyes?

Our tiny dancer

Sarah loves ballet! She has been practicing since she was three, and still dancing. Here are some of my favorite pictures of her posing, dancing, etc. Hope you enjoy!

Halloween 2008

Well, Halloween was a little "tricky" this year. Sarah has been feeling a little under the weather, but she hung in there for trick-or-treating. J.T. really got into the spirit of things this year! He loved saying, "trick-or-treat or smell my feet!" Little boys...ya gotta love 'em. Even though we only stopped at Granny's, Aunt Martha's, and Mom's they got loads of treats. And, I'm happy to report Sarah seems to be on the mend. I say that with fingers crossed...

Okay, I'm still trying to get the hang of this blogging stuff. Any and all help/advice is welcome!
