Day out with Thomas

J.T. is fast becoming a Thomas & friends expert. The child eats, sleeps, and yes breathes Thomas the Tank Engine. So, of course, when we learned Thomas was coming to the KY Railway Museum only three weeks before J.T.'s birthday; it was a no-brainer...we were going! I'm telling you it was so worth every dollar spent to see the amazed expression on his little face when the "live" Thomas rolled up the track next to us. We all had a great day even Sarah and my parents who went with us on our big "adventure with Thomas."

About to chuff off with Thomas

So much fun for us all!

Graduation Day

Most of you know J.T. is all boy, but he has a very sweet side (especially where his best friend Sissy is concerned). Every day the ENTIRE year before Sarah would leave for school J.T. would have to give her a hug and a kiss every morning. So on her last day of school I got a picture of him sending her off to school one more time with a hug and a kiss. I could just cry over how fast our kids are growing up!

Congratulations baby girl!

A Breather

It has definitely been a while since I've "blogged," but I have a few (and I do mean a few) minutes before we're off and running again, so I thought I would try and catch up on our recent family events. I'm sure many of you can relate, but our home/family definitely feels like a three-ring circus most of the time! I try to remind myslef, though, I won't turn around twice and they'll be grown, and I'll be wondering what in the world to do to occupy my time. So for now I'll just breathe and enjoy every minute of our crazy life. :-)

Happy Easter

We had a wonderful Easter holiday at church and with our families this year. The kids got up and enjoyed their treats from the Easter bunny before we started the day off with our Sunday School Easter egg hunt. The kids had a great time! Sarah looked like a little cricket hopping around everywhere in her pretty dress, but she did get 16 eggs! While J.T., who I fear is a little "o.c.d." about cleanliness, had a good time too until he got worried he had mud on his shoes. Following Sunday school we had a wonderful church service. After church we went to my Granny and Papaw's for our traditional Easter lunch (can you say the BEST coconut cream pie?!) then it was off to my mother-in-law's where I was unable to eat another bite. Finally, we rounded the day off with church at Chalybeate where Bro. Richard Minton preached a good sermon. I hope all my blogging buddies feel as blessed as I do. I hope you all had great Easter too!

J.T. aka Troy Bolton

Sarah loves the High School Musical movies (I must confess I find them cute too). However, J.T. could really careless if he watches them except for HSM2 when Troy sings "Bet On It" and in HSM3 when he and Chad sing, "The Boys are Back." Here are some pictures I find absolutely adorable, but my son will one day loathe. Eat your heart out Zac Effron. J.T. has got his moves down!

Miss Tiny Hiney

Yes, I said tiny hiney. That has been Sarah's nickname since she was old enough to walk. The poor child has NEVER been able to keep a skirt, pants, etc. up on her skinny hips and rear. Tonight's classroom ballgame was no different! Bless her heart she couldn't hardly run for trying to keep her pants up, but she gets an "A" for effort. I'm not sure who had more fun; Sarah playing ball or J.T. cheering for her! They were all so stinking cute out there. We all had fun, and as we were leaving the gym Sarah informed us she was done doing ballet from now on she's doing basketball! Yikes! (We still have a ballet recital to get through in May and basketball season is over.) We'll have to discuss this further...

J.T. at play park

J.T. was feeling down because his "new best friend Sissy and new best friend Daddy" had gone back to school and work. So I thought a little playtime at the park would perk him up. He had a ball! At first he was leary of going down the slide, but he soon got warmed up and didn't want to leave. Here are some pictures I took of Mr. Man having a good time. He had so much fun he didn't want to leave to go pick up his "best friend, Sissy" from school! P.S.--We didn't mention to Sarah that while she was at school we were playing at the park ;-)

Let's go fly a kite!

Although it seems for the last month someone in our home has been sick with something or other, we were able to get outside at least once recently to fly kites. The kids and Chris flew the kites and, naturally, Mom (aka your's truly) was the photographer. That's okay, though, I had a really good time laughing at them having so much fun!

Poor Baby

Not only did Sarah get alot of nice presents for her birthday; she also got a nice case of haemophilus influenza! Yay. My baby girl is feeling pretty rough, and it just breaks my heart to see her so miserable. No matter how old my kids get; when they get sick, my world stops. I know it's not just us, though, just about everyone you talk to has been sick or is currently sick with something equally yucky. Bring on the warm weather, please! I don't know about anyone else, but I'm dreaming of a beach vacation...

Paintin' the town...pink!

Sarah chose the Paintin' Place for her party this year. You can see from the pictures she had a blast! Mommy didn't mind going there either ;-)

Our little girl is 6 years old!

Everyone told us, when Sarah was born, to enjoy every moment, because time flies. Well, truer words have never been spoken! It seems like only yesterday I heard her first little cry and held her for the first time. The very first words I spoke to my baby girl was, "It's okay sweet baby, Mommy's here. Mommy's gotcha."

I loved my kids before I ever laid eyes on them. Now Sarah is bigger, but she'll always be my baby (and I remind her of that often). Today when she gets an ouchie I still hug her up and tell her," Mommy's here. Mommy's gotcha." My love just grows for my family everyday!

Snow Day!

I know it has been kind of pretty to look at, and the kids have enjoyed playing in it, but I'm house burnt and ready for the snow (and ice) to be gone! Fortunately, we haven't lost electricity through all of this. In fact, we've been the pitstop for many of my family who've been without heat, water, etc. So, here's hoping all of my blogging buddies have warm toasty homes to sit in tonight and blog! (Hope you enjoy the pictures I took to capture the craziness of this weather too.)

Just monkeying around

I was thrilled to get sock monkey houseshoes for Christmas from Granny & Papaw!

Better Late Than Never (Christmas recap)

Fearing that I was about to be kicked out of the "Bloggers Club," I decided it was time I got my act together, and posted our Christmas pictures...finally. Yes, it was a crazy, hectic time for us, but it was a lot of fun too. Here are a few of my favorite pictures and moments from our Christmas. Hope you enjoy, and I promise it won't be as long in between posts next time. Well, maybe!

Two words. Poor Santa!

No, Sarah. We don't take pictures of people getting out of the shower or before morning coffee.

I'll just help get you through this one part...

Someone gave you a what!!? Machete?!
